A l’automne 2019, la Compagnie Carmina vous a présenté une production en français (avec sous-titres en anglais) de “Dieu du Carnage”, la célèbre pièce de Yasmina Reza dont la traduction reçut le TONY Award de la meilleure pièce à Broadway en 2009, et fut adaptée au cinéma par Roman Polanski en 2011.
Dans ce huis-clos décapant, deux couples qui ne se connaissent pas se rencontrent dans un salon pour régler un incident survenu entre leurs fils. Les bonnes intentions et les bonnes manières sont rapidement mises à l'épreuve, et alors que le vernis de la civilisation commence à craquer, la soirée prend une tournure inattendue…

“Dieu du Carnage” a joué au Shelton Theater (Powell BART, à côté de Union Square, Parking facile et pas cher au Sutter/Stockton Parking Garage). Présenté en français (avec sous-titres en anglais).

In Fall 2019, Carmina Theater presented a production in the original French (with English supertitles) of "God of Carnage," Yasmina Reza's famous play, the translation of which won a TONY Award for Best Play in 2009, and was adapted for the screen by Roman Polanski in 2011.
In this scouring and intimate portrayal, two couples who don't know each other meet in a living room to settle an incident involving their sons. Good intentions and good manners are rapidly put to the test, and as the veneer of civilization starts to crack, the evening takes an unexpected turn...
